Master's students are required to prepare a presentation on a topic in petroleum engineering and deliver it in front of students and faculty members of the department. This topic may be chosen by the student after obtaining the approval of the course instructor, or it may be guided by the course instructor, or it could be a presentation based on the master's thesis that the student is preparing. The rest of the students are required to prepare a report on each presentation given

Waterflooding is one of the most commonly used advanced oil recovery techniques in the world. This course introduces the basic concepts of water-displaced oil and offers techniques for estimating utilization, evaluating behavior, and tracking the performance of waterflood projects.
